In 2023 I was awarded a very special residency on Bainbridge Island. For six months I was a Bloedel Reserve Community Creative. I had complete access to this stunningly expansive place and spent my time there walking around the beautifully manicured gardens and wild, yet maintained, natural spaces. During my walks, with loved ones and alone, I took photos of individual plants, landscapes, and people immersed in the scenery. From these hundreds of photographs, I edited, painted, collaged, and printed pieces that encapsulated the experience of taking in the beauty and wonder felt from interacting with the natural world.
